DBC Family,

As I mentioned in my last e-mail… Next week we’ll be cranking up our study in the book of Jonah, followed by Paul’s letter to the Ephesians.  In preparation for those two series’, we decided to take a couple of weeks to unpack two themes (or values) that will be recurring throughout those books…

Last week we unpacked the Mission of God.  This weekend we’ll be looking at Philippians 2:1-8 as we wrestle with the issue of the Community of God.  Take some time this weekend and read through that text.  Be thinking through some of the key exhortations (i.e.- humility, etc..) that Paul gives to the church. Spend some time processing how those very exhortations for us were demonstrated through Christ’s incarnation.

If last week was an encouragement for what we’re to be doing as a church, this week will be an encouragement for who we’re to be as a church family- as we accomplish His mission together.
